Rudder
| There was some delamination
found near the trailing edge 12 inches from the top, on the port
side of the rudder. In addition, the rudder was previously repaired
on the top on both sides of the post. Some filler had been added
where the foam core had deteriorated but it wasn't glassed over.
Over time the material worked it's way loose. |
 |
The
rudder stock will need to be shortened due to the open transom. In addition,
the rudder has been lengthened by four inches to maintain helm control
in surfing conditions.

Water
Barrier
| All the Baltaplate
antifouling was removed and the hull was allowed to dry out for
14 months. Following this 5 coats of Interlux Interprotect 2000
was applied and sanded to 320 grit. |
